Introduction to my life
Hello everyone, my name is Evan Karwowski and I am currently attending my second year at Los Medanos College. I am currently pursuing a degree in Business Administration. After my third year I am going to transfer to San Francisco State University to obtain my bachelor's degree. On top of college I am also obtaining my real estate license. I will be a buying agent and a listing agent, with the help of my dad. Originally I was planning on being a filmmaker, however that became more of a hobby. In high school I made a western short film called "A gunslinger's tale" and in our school showcase my group and I ended up winning 5 awards, 3 of which applied to me. The 3 that I was awarded with was best cinematography, best sound design, and best overall short film. The reason I am not pursuing a a degree for film is because if it was a career I wanted, I would not really need a degree. In the film making field a lot of the different director's or producer's care a lot more about your portfolio than your degree. If you can produce something spectacular then it will completely out weigh a degree. Film making isn't my only passion and hobby, in fact, I have several more. One of my other bigger passion's is mixed martial arts. My dad has trained my brother Austin and I in martial arts since we were children, so its something we are very familiar with. Once you start to learn about mixed martial arts it becomes addicting, not to mention it is a fantastic workout. I eventually plan on competing in a MMA competition, however there is still a lot more training that I need to do. The main martial arts we train are Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and Muay Thai, which is a lot like boxing. That is a little about me, and what I am about. I am excited to start this class and semester to learn new things that I have never been taught.
Hi Evan,
ReplyDeleteYou sound like you have got a lot going on! Martial arts, Real Estate, Filmmaking, Business Administration... way to go, dude! It is awesome that you have so many hobbies and future goals to look forward to.
I envy the relationship you have with your dad. It is the type of relationship I hope my children have with theirs. Neither my husband or myself had a solid father figure in our lives so it is refreshing to read about how much your father has influenced and continues to influence your life.
I am also working towards a Business Administration degree. I think you will find great flexibility with this focus. It will be helpful with your real estate goals as well. You are on a great path and you seem to have clear goals in mind.
Best of luck to you!
~ Amanda
Hi Evan, it is great that you have so many hobbies and congratulations of the awards you received for your film. It is great that you know what you want to do as well as knowing what school you want to transfer to as I still need to do my research to see which one I will be transferring to next fall. Best of luck this semester!
